Spring is here...

...finally! It is so beautiful in my yard now. I'm just waiting for my roses to burst into blooms. I do have lots of buds, and my bushes are now taller than I am. I am super excited. I always wanted beautiful roses, but was afraid I could not care for them. The knock out roses are sensational, and so easy to care for. My only issue has been some kind of beatle runs along and eats them up overnight. I then tend to overkill, and kill the roses for the year as well. I do hope this year I can try something different, and have roses through the Fall.

My dogwoods are in full bloom, so my house is alight with white blooms. The wind in the last few days have wreaked havoc on them, but they are clinging on and I'm still enjoying their beauty. We had a LOT of dogwoods when we moved here in 1993, but the wind has taken a lot of them. That makes me sad, but I am just going to focus on being thankful for the ones that remain.

My favorite maple is dropping all of it's little helicopter thingys. I don't know what they are called. Lots of pollen as well. The storm the other night helped us with that, and it looked as if we had a green snow on the back driveway. RJ cleaned that all up on Saturday when he mowed. Thank goodness for a good man that enjoys keeping his lawn mowed, and the property cleaned.

I had a very busy weekend doing photography. I took pics for the local high school sports program's hall of fame recepients. I haven't uploaded those to my laptop, so I pray they turned out well. On Sunday I did a senior shoot for a beautiful girl. She is TALL, and I am SHORT, so that was a bit of a challenge. You want to shoot at eye level most of the time, or above. I shot from my viewpoint, and tried to pose her lower than me for a lot of shots. She was well prepared with sentimental items to take pics with. She brought two pics of deceased loved ones, which has become a norm in our area. Just to include them in her process of graduating. Her papaw's pic and his favorite shirt, which she wore for some of the shots. She knew exactly what she wanted. The only problem is she wore white, and was quite pale. She wanted pics on the ground with flowers in her hair. That works out for tiny girls, but if you have any weight around your face, your neck just disappears. A colorful shirt may have helped with this, but not likely. We took the pics anyway, and I will edit them as best I can. At least I can add shadow in to help some. Have I mentioned that Lightroom is the Bombdigity? Well, yes it is. Photoshop is great too, but much more difficult to work with. I need time to play in photoshop so that I can learn to use it better. Who has time for that? Not me.

I have three editing jobs to finish before Friday when JH returns for two weeks. I'm working on them every spare moment that I have during the day, and for a few hours every night. We are celebrating JH's 3rd birthday on Saturday, as well as his dad's 25th. We bought him his lifetime sportsman membership for our state. That means he can fish/hunt in our state for as long as he is alive. I think that is a pretty neat gift, though he won't appreciate it until he is older. We also bought him a Lightening McQueen three wheeled scooter, and helmet to match. He loves the CARS movie, and Lightening McQueen. I'm going to pick up a couple of more gifts for him, but haven't figured out what. I may just take him and let him pick out something he likes. We will have cake and icecream with his great grands this weekend as well. They adore him, and why not. He is a ball of energy, and a lot of fun to play with.  On Monday we will have cup cakes with his friends in the daycare. That will be a blast for him. I'm super excited to see him as it has been three weeks. We are supposed to go back to court this month for a permanent solution to the parenting schedule. Right now it is two weeks/three weeks. We live an hour apart. I think we could do something a little more equal. We shall see.

The Littles have been absolutely crazy wild this morning. Didn't listen at all. In fact I turned the lights out for a few minutes and had them lay down in the playroom just to calm us down a tad. Whew! I hope the afternoon is much better. Don't see how it could get any worse. I hope your day is going well. Mine, well let's say I've seen better days. I'm going to hop of here and do some editing.

Be well.

I know you have a lot of problems, Sjemelts, but keeping yourself busy on the ones you CAN control, that works for you and everyone else I know. Great post.

My problems are no worse than anyone else’s problems. We just take it one day at a time, until we get to the other side of the problem. I’m actually managing fairly well at the moment, with great moments of sadness. There is no way back, so I’m moving forward. Thank you!

Dr. Madan Kataria, Founder of the Laughter Yoga movement. Now in this video he is giving a presentation to the people who are interested to be the part of that movement. Yoga is very helpful to make the body fit and healthy. I have read an article of that doctor at assignmentmasters. I have read his short introduction there which show he is very experience doctor.
